The process requires the following documentation to be included as part of the application:
- Copies of both individuals Passports;
- Certification with a validity not more than 3 months from the date of issuance, confirming that neither applicant is currently married;
- If either applicant has been previously married, a divorce or marriage annulment is required. Certificates and any documentation of the above must be translated into English and legalised with an Apostille;
- Death certificate of the previous spouse (if applicable);
- As Israel is a member of the Hague Convention, marriage certificates legalisation goes through an Apostille, streamlining and providing an advantageous process for those who wish to register their marriage in the Republic.
